Before I decided to dedicate myself to Agriturismo, I was an Architect whose spare time was dedicated to sailing and staying at our house at the seaside. Then we decided to purchase an old farm house in the Chianti countryside, and while deciding on how to renovate, we realized that there was plenty of space for guests. And so I began to design and plan three holiday apartments on our property. Everyone who has stayed with us swear that it is a perfect place to spend a honeymoon. We are open from April to September. Carla and I live on the premises, and we look after our guests, the swimming pool, and our vegetable garden where the produce is free for picking. Carla says that at La Sala everyone should feel as though they are at home. Each year when the season is over I leave for Burkina Faso in Africa to dedicate a month of my thime and energy to the people there and to help them with their work in the fields - an Experience that our guests at the Sala never get tired of listening to. |
